Eugenie Bouchard defeated third seeded Simona Halep 7-6 6-2 in 94 minutes to set up a final on Saturday against 2011 Petra Kvitova. The thirteenth seeded player reached both the semi-finals of the Australians and French opens this year but will now contest for her first ever Grand Slam final on Saturday.
