The Confederation of African Football (CAF) fined Nigeria $5,000, for their fans' misconduct during their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad on July 13, which the Super Eagles won 2-0.
The Super Eagles fans ran into the pitch Nigerian fans after the Odion Ighalo netted the second goal to give his side an edge with just 11 minutes remaining. Ighalo's spot kick gave Nigeria a winning start in Group G.
