Unity, a major factor in Wales victory over Cyprus - Gareth Bale


Gareth Bale has said that Wales's 1-0 victory over Cyprus in Euro 2016 qualifying Group B was down to the togetherness within the Welsh squad. Bale headed home eight minutes from time to seal a fifth win from seven games for Chris Coleman's side. Continue reading after the cut

"I think the game was a bit more than tough - we expected that from previous experiences over here where we have not done too well. We had a game plan, kept it tight and luckily enough we were able to nick a goal and that has put us in a great position. We knew the task coming in and obviously there has been a lot of media surrounding us. We know what we have to do but we are a strong team, we are together and we know what our capabilities are. We are one unit and we know what we need to do now," he told Sky Sports News.

Bale has scored six of Wales's nine goals over the course of the qualifying campaign.
