Mundo Deportivo report Barcelona are set to beat rivals Real Madrid to the £52m signing of Luis Suarez. Barcelona hope to pay between 35m euros and 40m euros plus Alexis Sanchez for the Uruguay International.
The Liverpool forward is reportedly close to a move to Camp Nou with Barca potentially exploiting a clause in his contract which states that Suarez can leave Anfield for 85m euros - a fee that is lowered by 20m euros if it is Barca or Real Madrid making the offer. But Barca being Barca want to get Suarez cheaper still and intend to use Brendan Rogers interest in Alexis Sanchez who is also wanted by Juventus and Atletico Madrid as leverage by including him in their offer for Sanchez.
