Brazil's Fred quits international football.

Much criticized Brazil striker Fred, who blamed Brazil's demise on everyone has announced his retirement from International football after a dismal World Cup. Fred who scored 15 goals in 33 caps and started every game at this World Cup, but only netted once against Cameroon told the reporters "For me, the Selecao is finished.".

"I take my part of the responsibility. I wanted to do more, as I was not hurt or suffering from an injury, but I say it is everyone's fault. Football gives you many things and takes a great deal way too. We Brazilians have a nasty habit of finding a scapegoat and looking for someone to crucify for failure. We do the same in success, trying to find a 'God' to take all the credit. We are a team and we are united to the last minute. The club offered me a break after the confederations club and I didn't take it, but now I need time to compose myself and forget everything that happened here."
Wishing him luck on forgetting everything that happened in this tournament but I don't think that can happen anytime soon.
