British Boxing Board of Control's responds to Tyson Fury Complaints

The British Boxing Board of Control's General Secretary Robert Smith has responded to complaints received about the conduct of Tyson Fury at Monday's press conference to promote the July 26 clash with Dereck Chisora. Among Tyson's comments: "I don't give a f*** how many women and children are in the audience. We're getting near to the fight and I'm fight mode, kill mode." continue

The statement from Smith read:  "I have received numerous complaints about the behaviour of Boxer Tyson Fury from the media and members of the public, relating to the Press Conference which took place for his forthcoming contest against Dereck Chisora in Manchester on the 26th July 2014.
Obviously, as General Secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control, I am concerned, disappointed and offer my personal apologies to any individual who may be offended by such conduct. The matter will be discussed at the Board meeting on Wednesday, 16th July 2014, following which I will issue a further statement thereafter."
