Ronaldo’s son 'told his mum was dead, has no idea who she is'

The mother of Cristiano Jr – who was born in 2010 – has never been revealed, but Cristiano’s sister made the startling revelation in quotes published across numerous news agencies. She said that the family have no intention of telling him and that he has now stopped asking about her as a result. Elma said: “Once we told him she was in Heaven, but my brother and mum asked us not to repeat it. “We say now his mum went travelling. He goes silent, forgets about it and doesn't ask anymore.”  The 29-year-old Portugal forward had the child with an unknown woman, reported by various sources to be a surrogate, four years ago. The latest revelation comes after the release of an official biography by Ronaldo’s mum Dolores Aveiro, who looks after the boy, often referred to as Cristianinho.

The book touched the subject of Cristiano Jr, with Dolores revealing that she had travelled to the US to pick up Cristiano Jr after his birth in 2010. In the book, Dolores said that her son has insisted that, “The mum will never be known”. Elma, however, has now added that, “If later on Cristianinho wants to know who his biological mum is, it will be his decision and no one’s going to stop it.”
