Top seed David Ferrer beat Mikhali Kukushkin to win Hamburg

David Ferrer came from behind to beat Mikhali Kukushkin 2-6 6-3 6-2 and advance into the second round round of the Hamburg Open. Ferrer struggled through during the first set but later showed his experience during his second set to break Kukushkin.

He claimed the final five games of the contest to claim victory in 1 hour and 56 minutes. Ferrer will now face either Juan Monaco or Andreas Seppi
