Real Madrid decides on Diego Lopez's future at Bernabeu

Real Madrid have made a decision on the futures of Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez. Reports in Spain claim the imminent signing of Keylor Navas has led to the Madrid hierarchy choosing the two incumbent goalkeeper, with Casillas to stay  and Lopez free to leave.
Lopez could be granted a free transfer in an effort to resolve the situation and should he be released he would be due a 12 million euros pay-off on his three-year contract. Though that would still be cheaper than paying off Casillas.
According to AS, the atmosphere around the squad is strained but Lopez is of the opinion that if he's really not wanted by the club, he will be prepared to leave.
