World boxing champion Kell Brook, who was stabbed in the leg while on holiday in the canary islands, has been declared stable after Tenerife operation.
Brook's trainer Dominic Ingle told BBC Radio Sheffield "He had an operation after the stabbing. I think it was about an hour and a half, he is now stable and on the mend."
Brook's parent flew out to Tenerife on Thursday night and his promoter Eddie Hearn arrived on the island on Friday.
