Champions League sets goal records - a total of 40 goals in one night


Tuesday Champions League day was a day that will be remembered in a long while with eight teams racking up a total of 400 goals, although two of the said teams were unable to score a goal. Let see Bayern humiliated Roma 7-1, Chelsea trashed Maribor 6-0, Shakhtar defeated Bate Borisov 7-0 and Schalke beat Sporting 4-3. 
Shakhtar set a record in the Champions League as they became the first team to score six times in the first half of a Champions League match and Shakhtar striker Luiz Adriano became the first player to score four before halftime and at 17 minutes. Adriano now holds UCL record for the quickest four-goal tally.
