Sunderland players have offered to refund ticket cost to travelling fans who attended defeat and the players have also promised to support a local charity following 8-0 defeat to Southampton. Good on their part I think, because the fans would be moaning the cost of the ticket and even travelling expenses. Speaking for the squad, Sunderland AFC's captain John O'Shea told the club website:
"We win and lose as a team, players, staff and fans, however we wanted to acknowledge and thank the supporters who traveled such a long way to give us their backing and despite everything, stayed with us until the final whistle."
That is a good thing and if you wish to claim a refund, contact the club before 5pm on Wednesday 5th November and I know some people (good fans) would not claim their refund.
