Good news for Real Madrid fans, the Bernabeu treatment room is empty for the first time this summer, meaning Rafa Benitez will be able to put out his strongest team. Benzema is back in business after four weeks on the sidelines and is being hailed as the solution to the team's problems in front of goal. Benítez's troops have been firing blanks as of late and the coach hopes that Benzema will help them fire on all cylinders against Betis.
With Benzema to slot back into the XI, restoring the BBC, the occupant of the Bernabéu dugout has a couple of conundrums on his hands, as there are more contenders than places in the team. The tactician seems to have earmarked a spot for James in midfield, so Isco and Jesé, who started in the season-opener in Gijón, are likely to drop down to the bench.
Pepe's availability is more good news for Benítez but is also another poser. Sergio Ramos and Raphaël Varane started in the heart of defence at El Molinón, but Varane would be the fall guy if the Portuguese veteran goes straight back into the line-up.
