Gerard Pique hasn't been a fan of many after he made anti-Real Madrid comments while celebrating Barça's treble at the end of last season. Fans keep giving Pique a hostile reception at home and Santi Carzola hopes the boos will end soon. Read what he said after the cut
Speaking after today's win against Slovakia, Carzola said:
"We're happy with the win and now we must prepare for the match against Macedonia. We were very good from the outset. It was important to win and give a good account of ourselves. This is the path we must follow for matches like today. We all played well. [On the boos], Pique is huge for us. Since Leon [in June], he's found himself in a strange situation and none of us understand it. Hopefully [the boos] will end soon and that he regains the full support of the crowd because he defends his country more than anyone else."
