Malaysia coach quits after losing 10-0 to UAE

Malaysia national football team coach Dollah Salleh, has announced his resignation days after losing 10-0 to UAE in a World Cup qualifier. Lol. The 51-year-old took the role in July last year, and agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Malaysian Football Association. Continue after the cut

However, results have not been impressive, with a 6-0 loss at the hands of Palestine in June and a 0-0 draw with Bangladesh in August preceding the UAE result.

"Who can accept a 10-0 defeat? That is why I quit. Historically, it is the worst ever defeat for the national team," Salleh told reporters.

Salleh, who scored 48 goals in 97 appearances for Malaysia between 1985 and 1996, has been replaced by former international teammate Ong Kim Swee. Malaysia face Saudia Arabia in their next World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
