Manchester City have been dealt a blow after Sergio Aguero picked up an hamstring injury while playing for Argentina in last night's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Ecuador. Aguero, who scored five goals in City's 6-1 game against Newcastle United last weekend had to be stretchered off the pitch after suffering the injury in his left leg.
He will undergo a scan to determine the level of the injury, but he is likely to miss Argentina match against Paraguay next week. It is not yet clear if the striker will be fit for City's home game against Bournemouth on October 17.
