Luka Modric out for 2-3 weeks with groin injury

There is further bad news for Rafa Benítez after Real Madrid confirmed that Luka Modric picked up a groin injury against Bulgaria. After landing at Barajas from Malta, where he was an unused substitute for his country's final Euro 2016 qualifier, the Croat went straight to a clinic to undergo further examination by club doctors.
The tests showed a groin injury which it is estimated will keep the midfielder out of action for two to three weeks. Modric will therefore miss league matches against Levante and Celta as well as the first Champions League clash against PSG, in Paris.
