Sunderland 's new manager Sam Allardyce is hoping to prove Dick Advocaat wrong in the club after he (Advocaat) said that the current squad was not good enough to fight relegation battle.
"Dick is a very experienced man and has worked with the players. That's his opinion. I have got to be the man who comes in and at some point down the line is able to say, 'Dick, you were wrong'. I hope I am not saying, 'Dick, you were right' that's for sure. If that happens I have made a bad decision, haven't I?" The Mirror quotes Allardyce as saying.
Allardyce's first game in charge will be against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
