According to reports in France, Newcastle Ben Arfa has been fined £1,600 for being overweight and will be sold this summer. Newcastle's coach, Alan Pardew is reportedly furious over the French play-maker weight gain and despite him (Ben Arfa) being the fans favourite he might still be kicked out of the club.
Due to the weight gain the Frenchman has been banished from the first team squad and will miss out on the club's preseason tour. Ben Arfa claims that he hasn't increased in weight rather he has increased in muscle mass.
I think it is safe to believe this report because the Frenchman suffered similar problems last year's preseason.
