Nigeria FG stops N253million monthly allowance and freezes accounts over FIFA's ban

Nigeria Federal Government has ordered the closure of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) bank accounts. The NFF have been suspended on the account of government interference and as to that the FG denied the football house their July monthly allocation, which amounted to N253 million. continue

The men in NFF have been asked to privately source for their means of livelihood with their three bank accounts frozen. The Ministry of sports are said to have acted this way to avoid further accusation of government interference in the administration of the round leather game in the country.

A source close to NFF stated that "FIFA has asked the Nigerian government to stay clear of football matters and that has to be done in all areas including funding."
