Aminu Maigari has been reinstated as the President of the Nigerian Football Federation. Maigari, who returns for the third time since being sacked by a Jos High Court after the 2014 FIFA World Cup was reinstated by some FA chairmen and their secretaries at an extra-ordinary congress held at Bentley Hotel in Abuja.
Fifa in a statement published on its website on Wednesday asked for the NFF's leadership as composed at the 25 August 2014 to be restored with immediate effect or else Nigeria will be suspended for the second time in since July.
The congress said they were obeying Fifa's order for the reinstatement of the Aminu Maigari-led executive board of the NFF.
