Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea refuses to confirm if his new contract with the club contains a release clause following his failed move to Real Madrid. De Gea saw a transfer to Madrid break down on transfer deadline day and subsequently signed a new four-year deal at Old Trafford.
Speaking to the media after his outstanding performance in Spain's 1-0 victory over Ukraine on Tuesday, De Gea would not say whether the clause existed, telling reporters that his agent, Jorge Mendes, dealt with such issues.
"You should ask Jorge that question. He's the one who pays attention to those details," De Gea said.
